Chunky Alder Kindling Logs – 10kg Bag

Quick Warmth • Lively Flames • Great Value

Looking for a convenient way to get your fire burning? Our Chunky Alder Kindling Logs are a practical choice for households that regularly use wood-burning stoves and open fireplaces.

Packed in convenient 10kg yellow mesh bags, these chunky pieces of Alder hardwood are ideal for building up the flames once your fire has been lit.

Whether you’re lighting your stove in the morning or getting the fireplace ready for a cosy evening, Alder provides a reliable way to help your fire develop quickly.

How Does Alder Firewood Burn?

Alder is a relatively lightweight hardwood that catches fire readily when properly dried.

It produces lively flames and releases warmth quickly, making it particularly useful during the early stages of building a fire.

Unlike denser hardwoods such as Oak, Beech and Hornbeam, Alder generally burns at a faster rate. Although it doesn’t provide the same prolonged heat as these heavier species, its quicker-burning characteristics make it an excellent choice for developing an established flame.

For best results, use a suitable firelighter and smaller kindling first. Once the fire is burning, add your chunky Alder pieces to help build heat before introducing larger hardwood logs.

Why Choose Our Chunky Alder Kindling?

• Easy-lighting hardwood: Alder catches fire readily when properly dried.
• Quick warmth: Helps your stove or fireplace heat up without a lengthy wait.
• Lively flames: Creates an attractive, energetic fire.
• Chunky split pieces: Larger than conventional thin kindling and suitable for building up a flame.
• Convenient packaging: Supplied in easy-to-handle 10kg mesh bags.
• Excellent multi-buy value: Save €5 when purchasing five bags.
